About
As a Bay Area native, I grew up surrounded by the region’s coastlines, foothills, and open spaces. Spending much of my childhood outdoors allowed me to form an early connection with nature, which eventually led me to wine as a way of working closely with the earth.
Originally trained in mathematics, I left a career in self-driving cars to pursue work I found more personally fulfilling. I approached wine not as a lifestyle change, but as a craft to be earned over a lifetime. My path began at Thomas Fogarty Winery, where I started as a harvest intern and now serve as Cellar Master. I’ve continued to learn from mentors who believed in me early on; their guidance provided both the foundation and confidence to begin something of my own and their support continues to ground everything I do. An international harvest in Australia further shaped how I think about the world of wine, reinforcing both curiosity and conviction.
Driftwood Cottage is my outlet to explore, hopefully resulting in wines that are delicious, energetic, and honest, while holding onto the sense of play that inspired it all.
